After recent events IRL i've decided to switch to the IT industry. Since i already master HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript and SQL, learning a language like C# could be a fun journey. I've worked for two days with a game of mine and i've made some nice progression. My hopes are to build a Standalone Metro 2033 Roleplaying client (Multiplayer). "do it with cw instead .. much easier" no fuck that. I want to do something more unique.

Anyone who has an opinion about this idea?
Here is an image of the main menu. Basic as hell but it's just in the meantime. I'd show the actual game features i've made but i'd sit here all day showing them.

Too ambitious for one person, but that's just my opinion.

I totally agree, hence why i've spoken with some other people who has experience in Networking, Modeling and C# that wish to help.

Not really a mod to the actual game. It'd be a one written from scratch. The base is written in C#. One of the other guys specialise in Networking so i'm 100% sure how his whole process works out.

At the start, probably not. Perhaps once we have a finished product we could publish the source.

Thought i'd post an update so it doesn't seem abandoned.

Networking is now tested and working. I've started to port models over to the game. I have updated the main menu and made a launcher which will later be used to download updates whenever they are available.

Nice, what are you using for networking in Unity? I'm using Photon Bolt for my Steam game, Solarnova, and I've found it very good for what it is although I'm not sure how well it'd handle high populations on a first person based shooter / serious roleplaying game.

I was balling between UNET and Photon Engine. I chose Photon. It seems to have more to offer than UNET has.

Nice, are you using PUN, or Photon Bolt specifically? I'd be really interested in seeing a video of your networked movement! :D

PUN. I'll record some video of it once i've finished the porting of some models.

    Ahoy.
I've received some PM's from different people that seem to be interested in the project. If there is anyone else out there who has an interest in participating, send me a PM or a message on Discord. Anyone who contributes to the project in any sort of way will receive a Contributor tag and will have access to the To-Do list and the current progression. I rather not spam this thread with it. This will be last post that i will make with the updates that has been made.

I have focused on player models, textures and some smaller animations.

    Models, textures, clothing and headgear.
